I’ve known Myia almost as long as I’ve lived in North Carolina, and she is one of my very favorite people. She’s also incredibly gorgeous and fun. Although another photographer at my studio will be photographing her wedding so that I can attend as a guest, Myia asked me to create her bridal portraits. I have to say, I was stoked to have such creative license in a client’s bridal session. Before anyone asks, yes, she climbed a tree in her dress before her wedding day. And no, she’s not a model that I hired. She’s just that awesome. It wasn’t even my idea – she asked to do it, and I happily complied. And now you now why I love her so much.

Joshua came to the studio ready for his portraits, which is to say, he fell fast asleep very quickly. And what sweet photographs we got of him! I especially love the little owl hat that his mom and dad were thoughtful enough to bring. He was a sweetheart, and I’m honored to have been trusted to capture such an amazingly important time in his life.

Elle is Six Months Old! {Greensboro Baby Photography}

Elle is six months old, and to celebrate, her parents brought her to the studio for portraits. She was a happy little model, and we didn’t have to wait long for smiles. I was pleasantly surprised by how long she lasted in from of my camera – almost a full hour. But soon she was rubbing her eyes to let mom and dad know that she was ready for her nap.

Thank you for being such a fabulous little model, Elle! I hope to see you again soon!

Teagan was only four days old when I met her, and she slept almost the entire time she was in my studio. Not that I minded – I just loved holding her little body while she slept and hearing her tiny baby grunts. She was the sweetest little girl, and I’m so happy that I had the chance to photograph her newborn portraits.

Jen and George {Greensboro Engagement Portraits}

I have to say, I absolutely love Jen and George, and I’m super excited to photograph their wedding. They’re fun, creative, and so so sweet together. It’s no surprise that the wedding they have planned is going to be amazing (and themed); but I’m not going to tell you what it is in case it’s a surprise. Suffice it to say, it’ll be fabulous. So of course their engagement session had to be fabulous and fun, too. We were having such a good time at their portrait session that only the rain could make us stop, and that’s exactly what happened. Luckily, we had plenty of time to capture the two of them being them. And if you’re just dying to know about their wedding plans, come back to the blog at the end of May, when I’ll post images from their day.

It was great seeing you both again! I can’t wait until your wedding day!

Michele at Winmock {Winston Salem Bridal Photography}

Whenever I have the chance, I love to get together with a few fabulous wedding vendors in the area and photograph a styled portrait session. Last fall, we had an amazing time at Winmock at Kinderton, which is a gorgeous new wedding venue in Winston Salem. It’s a beautiful location, inside and out, but my favorite part of the site is, of course, the amazing ceiling over their main reception room. I also couldn’t get over the romantic table settings that Brooke Csuka of Nouvelle Soiree created, or the ethereal wedding gown that Hayden Olivia allowed us to use. Everyone worked incredibly hard to make this day a success, and I am honored to have been a part of it.

Jace is One! {Greensboro Family Photography}

Just at the end of last autumn, I spent a fun afternoon with one of my favorite families to photograph. Jace had just turned one, and I joined he and his parents, Michelle and Christopher, to celebrate and capture the day. We ran around the family farm together, even pulling out Christopher’s old jeep for a few images. I’ve had the honor and pleasure of photographing Jace from a few months before he was born during their maternity session, to his newborn session, and every three months since then. I have loved every moment I’ve spent with their family, and I treasure the friendship I’ve formed with them.

Today I got to photograph little Mallan, who is only nine days old. I had the rare opportunity to capture her little eyes open without any tears, and I took advantage of it. Of course, when she was finished with our portrait session, she let me know. It’s always an incredible honor to photograph such an important time in a family’s life, and I loved every minute of this morning’s portraits. It was lovely meeting you, Mallan, and I hope to see you again soon!

Preston was such a little angel today. He had the cutest expressions and the sweetest face. I loved getting to spend the morning with this tiny man and capture some great images. My heart melted a little getting to see him sleep so peacefully. Thank you, Preston; you were a dream! Troy arrived at the studio fast asleep and stayed that way for his entire portrait session. With his sweet little face and bright red hair, he was an easy guy with whom to fall in love. And while I was assured he wasn’t always this quiet, I still think he was one the sweetest babies I’ve ever seen.
